Bug Tracker Migration

June 3rd
Good news everyone! The staff has decided that it is time to slowly kill off this Bug Tracker. We will begin the process of slowly migrating from this Bug Tracker over to our Github Issues which can be found here: https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/issues

Over the next couple of days, I will be closing off any opportunity to create new reports. However, I still will keep the opportunity to reply to existing Bug Reports. Doing this will allow us to slowly fix any bug reports we have listed here so that we can easily migrate over to our Issue Tracker.

Update - June 7th 2015: Creating new bug posts has been disabled. Please use our https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/issues tracker to post bugs. Users are still able to reply to existing bug posts.

I know everyones know about the snap dodge technique... My question is this dodge official behaviour? In the past you would see this rarely, now I'm seeing it 100's of times a day over and over. Players are snap dodging with 100% rate vs expected attacks. Making them 100% invincible in PvP.

Is this really how it acts on officails? Its not even hard to get it to a 80% success rate vs incoming asuras or edp sb's. I can't see how this is intentioal because it literally is god like.

I don't really think that the Snap dodge works like that on officials ._. May be wrong tho.since I'm basing this on a post

Current situation is that Snap[aka Body Relocation for who doesn't know it by that name] can evade every single skill in eathena based servers.

then it's the problem with the skill range system stuff, here if you start casting ANY skill in something that is in your range, e.g. firebolt, and at the end of the cast the target is no longer within your skill range area it fails. I'd like someone who plays in officials to confirm that it really works like that on any skill (confirm that: when you finish casting something, e.g. firebolt, on a target that is no longer within your range it still issues the skill (and damages it)).

I can confirm this, i will upload video how to reproduce this bug

@kyeme
how about official?? I can't confirm ATM cause I don't have a partner to test the SNAP 100% dodge effect..
I can only confirmed is

e.g. firebolt, and at the end of the cast the target is no longer within your skill range area it fails.

the range checking is always after the cast..

Heres the Snap bug video :)
No damage received when got hit by asura strike due to reloc, this is not official behavior

I dont understand D: *noob*, you confirm that the range is wrong or right?

that the range is right...hehehe..
but it seems there are exception maybe melee skills(or physical) don't have this check since when I tried in official by means of altab then run as far I can't see the sura that has casted EF on the other character then after it cast the other character still receives the damage even if the other char is 10+ cells away from the EF caster..

:meow:

changed severity to: 4 - High

Its almost 5 years bugged, I changed the severity to High~

if this bug will be fixed. i hope that there will be option to enable or disable this. since for some player they think this is normal.

We need more data before we even discuss how it'd be implemented, as malufett points out

there is little data on the conditions for bypassing the cast range check, so any other data is much welcome

Up~

Hi just want to add this information with regards to the snap/ sudden dissapearance from the map.The timing of the actual hit and the sudden vanish from the screen of the caster triggers the bug.
This is easily done using body reloc. The moment Asura or other attack hits the target and abruptly the target relocs away from the caster. It show the target getting the damage however there is no really damage dealt by the caster. Unlike when walking away 14 cells or more from the the caster it will hit you no matter what, since the target did not disappear from the screen SUDDENLY.

To be exact for you to do this trick you have to be 14 cells away with sudden disappearance from the casters sight the moment the attack hits you.

Thanks~

According to THIS http://forums.irowik...258&postcount=8 it's a bug and you'll receive the asura damage anywhere you are.

Is it only for asura or for all skills?

Is it only for asura or for all skills?

Exist on all skills.
