Bug Tracker Migration

June 3rd
Good news everyone! The staff has decided that it is time to slowly kill off this Bug Tracker. We will begin the process of slowly migrating from this Bug Tracker over to our Github Issues which can be found here: https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/issues

Over the next couple of days, I will be closing off any opportunity to create new reports. However, I still will keep the opportunity to reply to existing Bug Reports. Doing this will allow us to slowly fix any bug reports we have listed here so that we can easily migrate over to our Issue Tracker.

Update - June 7th 2015: Creating new bug posts has been disabled. Please use our https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/issues tracker to post bugs. Users are still able to reply to existing bug posts.

Ghost Property Armor

In renewal you should get a 30% reduction from neutral property by using a Ghost property armor, be it Ghostring, or Ghost Armor Scrolls, however,  with one of those on, using a monk with no weapon no spheres, I took an average of 60 damage. (128+70 DEF)

This is withOUT a Ghostring Card or any elemental armor
Using the same monk, same stats, same no weapon, without spheres, I took an adverage of 60 damage. (128+70DEF)

As you can see, Ghostring currently gives no neutral element reduction. Tested with a sage just now, I take no damage from Soul Strike with it off, and I take damage from Soul Strike with it on.

Level 1 Ghost property should give ~30% reduction from neutral, but it does not currently.

Edit: This is with SVN r16195

Going to check this and fix this.

Edit :

If you check the item Script in the latest SVN Version in db/re/item_db it's the item Script looks like this :

4047,Ghostring_Card,Ghostring Card,6,20,,10,,,,,,,,16,,,,,{ bonus bDefEle,Ele_Ghost; bonus bHPrecovRate,-25; },{},{}

This means you get Resistance against Ghost Property attacks,so nothing should be wrong, that's what the item description says, too.

You shouldn't get resistance FROM ghost property attacks, Ghost damage on Ghost element does additional damage.
If it was true, I wouldn't take more damage with Soul Strike with it on than with it off.

Please look into the resistances, as enchanting your armor with ghost property should make you take 70% Neutral Damage...

Edit: [iRO Description]
Enchant an Armor with the Ghost property. Reduce HP Recovery by 25%.
Class : Card
Compound on: Armor

the item script is correct, I'm thinking it's somewhere in the resistance tables, is it possible to add the resistance / extra damage manually in the script until the ghost element functions properly?

RiverStyx is correct the resistance table on irowiki is incorrect its using the old table which ghostring had a resistance of 75% prerenewal currently in iro it was nerfed and it should only be 30% reduction of Neutral attack damage.

Elemental reductions:
Garment cards protecting against certain elements, like Raydric card or Jakk card, reduces damage from all statusATK/weaponATK/equipATK.

Elemental reductions like raydric card reduce the damage of monsters by a certain %.
Since monsters dont use weapons but use a simple base atk to determine their attack power (contrary to players using statusATK and weaponATK) garment reduction cards work against the whole atk of monsters.

If it's not working it's a core issue...

Is it possible for someone to confirm this, and move it to Core Issues? Or should I post this in core issues?

I tested it and it's working fine.

I tested with asura(neutral damage) and damages reduced a lot.
Without ghostring my char died all the time.

I tested with fire elemental and worked fine too.

OBS: Soul Strike is GHOST property, I think you did a mistake.
I didn't test with normal attacks, but I'll do it and come answer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Asura without Gr: 35~36 +/-
Asura with Gr: 25k +/- 30% less

Higher normal attack damage withour Gr: 28x
Higher normal attack damage with Gr: 19x

Working fine in 16313.

(There was a moment dangerous soul collect was not consuming spheres, please check it).

This report seems invalid/unable to reproduce.

Tested with Asura, and I took anywhere from 128% to 142% damage, within RNG's calculations for ~30% reduction, so agreed with Asura it does work.

My other issue is that I take more damage from elemental magic with it on, than with it off, even though it's 100% damage taken from elemental property. tested with Firebolt, Crimson Rock, Jack Frost, and Chain Lightning. I constantly take increased damage with Ghostring on..
If I'm just unlucky with RNG's, and am/or being retarded, that's fine, but in anything but a testing environment, even with forced neutral skills it does not seem to have any noticeable effect other than taking more damage from magic by a significant amount.

Thanks for your time.

Chain Lighting w: 7136 hit
Chain Lighting wo: 7136 hit

Jack Frost w: 537 hit
Jack Frost wo: 537 hit

It's all working fine.

I think you're testing skills with different cards or differents equips which would provide a different damage, so this is the case you're getting "odd" values.

My tests were done on a Valk armor with no card and another one with gr card, in this case no status is affected differently as TG would affect def to less and provide a higher damage yet and some other card could provide less damage from elemental as equipping angeling.

This report is still invalid/unable to reproduce.
