remember that Grimmtooth is meele attack on level 1 and 2.level 3,4 and 5 are range skillz.thats why you dont get a fail message, the skill doesnt gets activated if the monster is not directly beside you.
As Euphy is showing, he is using Grimtooth lvl 1 as ranged skill... so, something isn't as it should be... ((
