Bug Tracker Migration

June 3rd
Good news everyone! The staff has decided that it is time to slowly kill off this Bug Tracker. We will begin the process of slowly migrating from this Bug Tracker over to our Github Issues which can be found here: https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/issues

Over the next couple of days, I will be closing off any opportunity to create new reports. However, I still will keep the opportunity to reply to existing Bug Reports. Doing this will allow us to slowly fix any bug reports we have listed here so that we can easily migrate over to our Issue Tracker.

Update - June 7th 2015: Creating new bug posts has been disabled. Please use our https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/issues tracker to post bugs. Users are still able to reply to existing bug posts.

Defending Aura Official Behavior

Posted by kyeme on 16 September 2014 - 03:43 PM

1st Scenario:
We're on a party, I'm the Crusader/Paladin and you're the Professor. I'm going to cast the skill Devotion to you. After that, I'm going to use the skill, 'Defending Aura'. You should also have that buff and you should be moving slow since I used Devotion to you, thats completely normal. But when I re-cast the skill Devotion to you again, what happen is that you'll be able to move faster again and the icon of Defending Aura on your screen will be gone. But, the effect of the Defending Aura will retain to you which is you'll still be receiving reduced damage from long range attacks for about 80%. (The normal reduction is 96%)
Summary: Recasting Devotion to a party member should reset Defending Aura icon/effect however will leave 80% reduction effect (Lets name it "Hidden" Defending Aura).

2nd:
If the Crusader/Paladin already have casted Defending Aura before casting Devotion on a team member the team member will receive "Hidden" Defending Aura effect (80% reduction, NO Defending Aura icon, No ASPD reduction (if Defender is = lvl 5) and the movement speed is normal). Then when the Paladin re-cast Defending Aura again that is the time that the "Normal" Defending Aura will take effect. (Please read #5)

3rd:
"Hidden" Defending Aura can it be dispelled?
Yes when the Paladin is dispelled the Defending Aura effect will be dispelled from the party member.

4th:
When canceling Defending Aura via re-casting there shouldn't be animation effect and no skill name over head "Defending Aura!!"

5th:
How to apply "Normal" Defending Aura (96% reduction) to a party member have "Hidden" Defending Aura status?
Answer: The Paladin needs to re-cast Defending Aura

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is the damage result from Aegis server:
I have discovered that Defending Aura reduction (lvl 5) from long range attack is 96% and 80% from "Hidden" Defending Aura
Normal Defending Aura:
~ With Defending Aura Status Icon
~ Slow movement speed
~ 96% Resistance on Long Range
Damage Test:
w/out Defending Aura = 735 damage received
w/ Defending Aura = 30 damage received
"Hidden" Defending Aura:
~ NO Defending Aura Status Icon
~ Normal movement speed
~ 80% Resistance on Long Range
Damage Test:
w/ Hidden Defending Aura = 147 damage received
