We noticed in ET that the AoE splash damage from meteors splashes over onto LP - LP will only block them from landing on LP in the first place. Since the AoE splash is 7x7, this means that meteors which land right next to LP will hit a whole 3 cells into LP, making a lvl5 LP (11x11 cells) equivalent to a lvl1 or lvl2 LP (7x7 cells) with respect to blocking Meteor Storm damage.
You can see this here on a highlight from a recent ET run we did:

This is a very serious issue when it comes to WoE SE, even WoE FE, since it massively reduces the utility of LP given that the heaviest magic damage comes from Meteor Storm stacking.

Yes this is a tremendous bug that affects gameplay.

Hope @malufett fixed those 2 bugs :)

Is this not the intended behavior? When we merged the patch that does this, it was described as intended.
- If a meteor falls inside the LP, then it won't splash (inside or outside)
- If a meteor falls outside the LP, it will splash inside (i.e. players inside will be hit by the debris)
This behavior was described in commit https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/commit/26cdd53ef2d633e6b7d886bb720e645d85d08e43 that implements it.

after a couple of test in aegis it works exactly that way..Earthstrain is the most devastating cause even when you are in the middle of LP you are not safe with ES casted outside LP...XD

Could this be tested in pre-renewal? Please ^^;;?

Wouldn't it be a good idea to make it a switch in some conf file (kinda like snap dodging)? This is a pretty big deal for many.

Exactly, they are basing on aegis (which is renewal i guess) or tell us what line to undo. that will be great help.
