"Pin Code" Feature: Update

Posted by Ind, in Hercules, Code 11 March 2013 · 633 views

"Pin Code" Feature: Update As I've written on March the 9th , the "Pin Code" feature wasn't yet functional, I've done some further debugging since then, and with the help of Yommy I've noticed the feature is only not stable when using the expiration feature ( when the pincode_changetime  setting is not 0 ), which means the fault may not lie at the decryption after all , I own Light...

The "Pin Code" System

Posted by Ind, in Code, Hercules 09 March 2013 · 1547 views

The "Pin Code" System Today our neighbours released the Pin System  -- or so we thought. We were all excited about the feature, and I started to work on porting it to Hercules as soon as I could, only to find out it wasn't fully functional after I was done porting it. I should've taken the "Beta" in their commit log more seriously. I didn't want to throw the effort I spent on...

"Reserved Slot" System

Posted by Ind, in Code, Hercules 05 March 2013 · 4366 views

"Reserved Slot" System As requested by Beret in http://herc.ws/b...ed-slot-system/ The feature enables support for account-dependent character slot numbers (within MAX_CHARS  bounds as defined in src/common/mmo.h ), e.g. if your server has a 12 maximum character limit but you would like only selected accounts to be able to use all of them you can use this...

Tracker Archiver / Unarchiver

Posted by Ind, in Hercules 21 February 2013 · 417 views

The Archiver An automated bug report archiver was a featured requested by some of our developers as well as some of the most active members at the bug tracker, and today I coded it, as you can see we now have a new tracker category 'Hercules Bug Archives' ( in http://herc.ws/b...oard/tracker/), that category is populated automatically every 24h with re...

K-line'd

Posted by Ind, in Hercules 07 February 2013 · 367 views

Streusel proposed earlier today over #Hercules for us to provide a IRC web-client within hercules forums for our users to use, I found it'd be a useful feature and added it, its available in the forum 'IRC' dropdown menu, or here: http://herc.ws/board/page/irc.html Now the infamous part (click to zoom): While testing it I was K-line'd by the server's...

Wasted Time T_T

Posted by Ind, in Code 29 January 2013 · 435 views

I've spent about 40minutes working on this bug report . I've rewrote the skill state stuff from scratch, making it possible for 2 or more conditions to be required in each skill, for example "shield:riding" (requires shield and to be riding), why did I do that? I misread the report and believed it was about being able to give skills additional conditions...

Woo. Tracker Perk

Posted by Ind, in Forum, Code 28 January 2013 · 633 views

As requested by our core developer mkbu95 I've coded into the tracker 2 shortcuts (some 5 minute thing).Using the right arrow  while viewing a bug report takes you to the next unread bugreport of that same category, using the left arrow  takes you back to your previous bug report (if you had one). The feature disables itself while the reply box is selected.
