I've never tried making a sky map myself, but if i were you, i would try replacing with a hex string of the same length as the original.
If you change your map name to pvp_valk1 and put that in the client, does it help?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
If you are trying to hex your client, try Syouji's tutorial.

The first time i skimmed your opening post i actually misread.
I get it now, and i just wanted to say I think what you're trying to achieve is really cool.
