Couldn't you just do a "chmod -w map_cache.dat" to prevent it from being over written? It seems to me that unless you are updating the client files, there is zero reason to update the map_cache.dat.

Hey guys... For me, the easiest way was to use the WeeMapCache tool: http://rathena.org/b...24-weemapcache/
1. Scan your GRF files for maps.
2. Add resnametable.txt (You will probably have to bust open your GRF files for this)
3. Save
4. Swap out the old map_cache.dat on your server with the new one.
If everything went well, the walkable area should match what is expected in the client.

Thank you very much! I tested the updated plugin and it does indeed work.

Apparently the ragexe.exe that came with my client was all jacked up and wouldn't work with the patches. I downloaded another one and it worked.
Much thanks to evilpuncker for pointing this out: http://www.mediafire...2-23cRagexe.rar

try to remake your ragexe.exe with Nemo patcher, without 64k hair style option
I did... The nemo patcher seems to produce "Not enough free space" errors on vital options like Enable Multiple GRFs. I would love it if it was that easy. I need something that is comparable to this:

But without the 64k hair option. Any time I try to recreate that client, I run into the above error on needed patches.
